The 8th OSE Symposium will be held in Munich on January 25, 2013 and well-known experts in the area of Information Technology will come again to discuss and speak about topics surrounding software licensing, Big Data, data privacy and cloud computing (among others).

A key topic will be the impact of the recent European Court of Justice (“ECJ”) decision, which allows the resale of ”used” software licences. Reed Smith Partner Dr. Philipp Süss has been an OSE board member since 2008.

Among the panel speakers, which includes Professor Dr. Thomas Hoeren from the University of Münster, Reed Smith Munich Partner Dr. Alexander Klett will give a presentation on the consequences of the recent ECJ judgment (of 3 July 2012 - UsedSoft v Oracle) on the video gaming industry.
