(October 1, 2014) – Reed Smith LLP again ranks among the top 20 Global Elite law firms on Acritas’ Sharplegal® Global Elite Brand Index based on independent measures of awareness, favorability and consideration as viewed by surveyed general counsel at some of the world’s largest companies.
Reed Smith’s 2014 worldwide ranking was 17th, up one spot from last year.

The 2014 Acritas Sharplegal® Global Elite Brand Index is compiled from analysis of data derived from interviews with respondents in $1 billion+ revenue organizations with senior responsibility for buying legal services. Some 1,185 interviews were conducted in local languages across 55 countries to determine this year’s rankings. Interviewing was conducted by Acritas in accordance with rules governing best practice in research; no law firm or other third party was involved in selecting the sample, analyzing or influencing responses or the Index rankings.
The Global Elite Brand Index employs open-ended interviews with general counsel designed to identify: the first law firms to come to mind; the firms they feel most favorable towards; the firms most considered for multi-jurisdictional deals; and the firms most considered for multi-jurisdictional litigation.
