Global law firm Reed Smith has been named by the market leading India Business Law Journal (IBLJ) as one of the top international law firms for India work.

In IBLJ’s eighth annual survey, Reed Smith features in the top 10 “Key Players” list and is praised for its “robust dispute resolution practice”. Reed Smith partners Gautam Bhattacharyya and Roy Montague-Jones are co-chairs of the firm’s India Group.

Debolina Partap, General Counsel of Reed Smith client Wockhardt, recognised the firm’s “willingness to accommodate Indian clientele’s sensitivity to costs” and its “amazing ability to meet timelines and work across all time zones.”
MP Bharucha, the senior partner of one of India’s top law firms, described Reed Smith as “incisive and civil”, commenting that the “latter is a rarity in dispute resolution” and that Gautam is “perceptive, responsive and thoughtful with dogged perseverance.”

The IBLJ survey is based on extensive consultation with India-focused corporate counsel around the world, submissions received from hundreds of different law firms and interviews and research carried out by its editorial team.
