Reed Smith’s media and technology team is hosting a series of seminars throughout 2014 directed at in-house counsel and business affairs executives. The third seminar in the series is titled “Advertising, Marketing and Sponsorship”.

Topics to be addressed include:

• A discussion of some of the ASA’s current hot-topics and a look at some interesting recent adjudications.
• A look ahead at some of the legal issues surrounding major sporting events such as the World Cup 2014 and Commonwealth Games 2014.
• How can event sponsors and brand partners maximise their investment? How can non-participating advertisers avoid infringement whilst still benefitting from the event?
• Gambling and gaming – How will the changing regime affect advertisers?
