CHICAGO. (September 12, 2016) – Reed Smith LLP today announced the addition of Jay McAveeney as the firm’s new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). McAveeney was most recently CEO and Managing Principal at Legal Optimization Solutions, an AmLaw 100 financial and administrative operations consulting firm. Prior to that, he was the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer at Ogletree Deakins.

He began his career in accounting and tax roles at Arthur Andersen and Hewitt Associates. McAveeney has a B.S. from Purdue University and an M.B.A. and a J.D. from DePaul University. He is also a certified Six Sigma Green Belt.
