Acting for the largest UK charity by income, The GAVI Fund Affiliate, in relation to its entry into grant agreements with ten governments and a framework agreement with those governments, International Finance Facility for Immunisation Company (‘IFFIm’) and the World Bank. Those grants are being used to finance bonds issued by IFFIm which will provide upfront funding for accelerated vaccination programmes organised by GAVI (formerly the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunisation) in some of the poorest countries in the world. The first bond issue raised US $1 billion and the total size of the fund is approximately US $4 billion.
