August 7, 2015 – Global law firm Reed Smith LLP recently represented Vista Outdoor Inc. (NYSE: VSTO), a Utah-based outdoor sports and recreation company, in its acquisition of Jimmy Styks LLC.

The transaction allows Vista Outdoor access to the growing water sports market and expands the company’s portfolio to include stand-up paddle boards (SUP). Jimmy Styks, based in Huntington Beach, California, is the nation’s leading designer and marketer of SUPs. Vista Outdoor paid $40 million in the all-cash transaction, with additional contingent consideration payable if incremental profitability growth milestones are achieved over the next three years.
