Related Professionals: Kyri Evagora

Reed Smith partner Kyri Evagora has been named in the 2015 LGBT leaders list published in the Financial Times.

The OUTstanding LGBT, Ally and Future Business leaders lists recognise inspirational role models who demonstrate that being LGBT need not be a barrier to success and champion a workplace that is equally inclusive for everyone.

Kyri was noted for his business leadership skills and his position as a visible role model for LGBT employees. As well as chairing the firm’s global Energy & Natural Resources Group, Kyri is also a member of Reed Smith’s Executive Committee and Chair of the firm’s Strategy Committee. Under his chairmanship, the firm has opened three new offices in key markets in recent years: Singapore, Houston and Frankfurt.

Kyri is the executive sponsor of Reed Smith’s LGBT network, PRISM, which is a visible champion for inclusion, diversity and LGBT engagement within and on behalf of Reed Smith. He recently hosted PRISM’s summer party and provided the key note speech to over 120 clients and industry contacts on the need to promote an inclusive culture for LGBT employees.

OUTstanding CEO and founder Suki Sandhu said, “We are delighted to see Kyri Evagora featuring in this year’s OUTstanding and Financial Times Top LGBT Executive list. Kyri is a true role model, proving that you can be openly LGBT in business and be a huge success. I’m certain he will provide inspiration to anyone who fears that they may have to be closeted at work, and waste valuable effort muting their authentic selves. He deserves credit for the leadership he shows in welcoming people of all backgrounds, sexual orientations and gender identities.”
