Every time a pharmaceutical company is asked about a product's "country of origin," the company must analyze a number of aspects regarding the product's development. Globalization of the supply chain has increased instances of cross-border production - where sourcing and manufacturing take place in multiple countries - which can make this a tricky question to answer. In fact, different regulatory agencies employ entirely different standards, which means that the determined country of origin may vary for the same product depending on what agency is asking.

Join Reed Smith attorneys Lorraine Campos and Jeffrey Orenstein for a one-hour teleseminar discussing these issues, including the numerous legislative and regulatory requirements that pharmaceutical companies must take into consideration to increase transparency in the product supply chain and address country of origin issues.
