Philadelphia, PA – October 21, 2015 Timothy P. Law, a partner in Reed Smith’s Philadelphia office, has been elected to membership in the American Law Institute (ALI)., a nonpartisan, nonprofit law reform organization.

Law was among 75 new members recently elected, including attorneys, judges and law professors, from 22 states and the District of Columbia, and three foreign countries.

Founded in 1923, the ALI, best known for its Restatements of the Law, is dedicated to producing scholarly works that clarify, modernize and improve the law. Members also draft, revise and publish Model Codes and Principles of Law that influence courts, legislative bodies and legal education. Through the institute’s work, members have an opportunity to influence the development of the law in existing and emerging areas.
