Shedding Light on the U.S. and French Sunshine Acts
Recent legislation in both the United States and France - known as the Physician Payment Sunshine Act in the U.S. and the French Sunshine Act or Bertrand Act in France - were enacted to provide greater transparency into the financial relationships between drug and medical device manufacturers and health care professionals. Since the new regulations were imposed, these laws have resulted in compliance issues and implementation challenges in both countries.
Join Reed Smith attorneys Elizabeth Carder-Thompson (Washington D.C.) and Daniel Kadar (Paris) for a one-hour teleseminar discussing this legislation, including key differences between and requirements under the U.S. and French Sunshine Acts, and how entities in each country (and on each side of the manufacturer-provider relationship) can address potential compliance challenges.
