The Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPP) is a free trade and investment agreement being negotiated between the U.S., Japan, Canada, Australia, Mexico, Chile, Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia, New Zealand, Peru and Brunei. The 12-participating economies represent 40% of global GDP and 30% of global trade. The TPP would be the world’s largest free trade and investment agreement.

The substantial progress made in the recently concluded Hawaii round of negotiations have brought the Transpacific Partnership negotiations close to completion. Understanding the issues, including the impact of the 2016 U.S. political campaign, and the expected process for completing and implementing the deal will be critical to businesses operating in South East Asia.

Hear from the former United States Ambassador to Singapore, Reed Smith Partner David Adelman, about the TPP and its anticipated impact on the participating countries in South East Asia and the business community.
