The School of Law offers courses to attorneys and paralegals of all levels to enhance their legal knowledge and associated skills. It takes advantage of the fact that Reed Smith has within its existing ranks a large number of outstanding practitioners and experienced faculty, and will also contract for outside services where appropriate. Many School of Law courses will qualify for CLE credit, and we expect that virtually all of our attorneys will satisfy a large portion of their CLE requirements by participating in such courses. Some of these courses are part of a progressive series of courses designed to help them acquire increasingly sophisticated skills in specific areas. School of Law course series include those in the areas of Attorney General Skills (GS), Attorney Business & Regulatory (B&R), Attorney Litigation (LIT), Summer Associates (SA), and Paralegal (PAR).
Some courses, such as the Trial Training Program and a soon-to-be-developed Deal Clinic, will be highly selective, offering a premier, intensive experience in areas selected by the Department Heads.
