The School of Technology is committed to developing an understanding and mastery of the firm’s technological and information resources. Many courses have been designed to facilitate expertise in the firm’s systems and technological resources. Other courses go further, however, providing not simply the technical competence to utilize those resources but also a deeper understanding of their potential in accomplishing the fundamental goal of client service. A primary objective will be to facilitate effective use of our expanding Knowledge Management System and practice technologies that enable Reed Smith personnel to re-use work product, automatically assemble and substantively proofread agreements, and collaborate with clients in secure virtual workrooms. The School of Technology offers different courses to persons in different firm roles, but it aspires to bring all of us to a point where we can both appreciate and call upon the firm’s technological capabilities in new and more effective ways.
