The Women’s Career Advancement Initiative Committee has developed a unique series of career development workshops for women lawyers. The Career Development Workshop Series is a multi-tiered series designed to provide additional career development support for women lawyers at critical junctures in their careers. The workshops will provide further training on developing and maintaining the skills needed to succeed in today’s workplace.
The series is the culmination of more than two years of work by the committee. With the assistance and expertise of Catalyst, Inc., the committee designed the workshop series, solicited input from lawyers throughout the firm, and used this information to develop the content of the workshops.
The workshop series is offered at three pivotal career stages and is tailored to participants’ experience levels. The first workshop is geared towards second- and third-year associates; the second workshop is geared towards senior associates; and the third workshop is for new women partners. Each workshop level will build upon the skills highlighted in previous workshops.
The committee believes that the workshop series will be extremely beneficial to Reed Smith’s women lawyers and that the series further demonstrates Reed Smith’s commitment to the mission of the Women’s Career Advancement Initiative.
