Angela is head of Reed Smith's Chicago Trademark Practice.  Her practice focuses on trademark and domain name registration and counseling.  She advises clients with regard to compliance with state and federal advertising and trade practice laws, including substantiation of claims, sweepstakes and contests, privacy issues, and dispute resolution. 

Angela's other experience includes:

  • Drafting and negotiating marketing agreements such as over-scale talent, celebrity endorser, web advertising and international ad agency agreements
  • Copyright registration and counseling
  • Advising clients with planning and protecting websites, including preparing Terms of Use, documenting services for website development, hosting and content licensing
  • Drafting and negotiating distribution agreements and sales representative agreements
  • Drafting and negotiating entertainment agreements

      • Helped ensure advertising was legal, substantiated and properly executed.
      • Acted as legal liaison appointed to the Sears E-commerce team (1997-99).
      • Handled issues, laws and regulations related to deceptive pricing, advertising claim substantiation, privacy, intellectual property, right of publicity, telemarketing, sweepstakes, and other promotional devices such as coupons and rebates.
