Learn From The Best

The primary goal of Reed Smith’s mentoring program is to provide the structure and resources that will allow a true mentoring culture to develop and flourish at the firm. At the same time, the mentoring program is only one aspect of the firm’s overall professional development program, and it is intended to complement formal training programs offered to associates throughout their careers, as well as on-the-job training and development.  Although the mentoring program provides assigned integration mentors for junior and lateral associates and panels of available mentors for all associates, a more over-arching goal is that over time, strong mentoring relationships naturally develop between partners (and counsel) and associates, as well as among associates at various levels of practice.  By encouraging and fostering mentoring of all kinds, the firm hopes to continue to produce effective and successful lawyers who, in turn, guide the next generation of Reed Smith lawyers through their careers.
