Clara is an experienced commercial litigator with long standing expertise in the resolution of complex cross borders disputes in Court and Arbitration proceedings. She acts for multinational businesses whom she regularly advises on litigation strategy including conflicts of laws and jurisdictions, and recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments in France. She handles significant cases particularly in the financial services, media (films, TV and Radio) and advertising sectors.
She often conducts applications for injunctive relief including in support of overseas proceedings. Clara became an Avocat of the Paris Bar in 1989 and qualified as a Solicitor in England in 1992. She practised at Richards Butler’s London office between 1989 and 1993 before transferring to the Paris office in 1993, being appointed a partner in 1997. Her combined experience of common law and civil law systems stands her in good stead to anticipate the expectations of clients coming from other jurisdictions when they litigate in France.
