James’ practice focuses on intellectual property litigation, including trade secrets, trademarks, copyrights and patents, and commercial litigation. He has worked on cases involving computer software, telecommunication test devices, computer networking technology, and pharmaceuticals. He has experience in prosecuting and defending claims for preliminary injunctive relief and navigating federal and state discovery obligations.
James also devotes a significant amount of his time to pro bono work, with an emphasis on representing both tenants and landlords in unlawful detainer litigation.
Raised in the not-too-distant San Joaquin Valley, James enjoys spending time with family and friends, visiting California’s wine country, and cheering on his beloved UCLA Bruins.
