Mark is a partner in the General Shipping Group working principally for Owners and Charterers, P&I Clubs, Management Companies, Brokers and Ship Finance Banks. Whereas Mark has very extensive experience in complex charterparty, bills of lading/cargo and MOA disputes, be they by way of Commercial Court, arbitration (London or International) or mediation, he has established particular expertise in the areas of Shipbuilding, Off-shore/Oil/Gas (primarily FPSO Production and Services Contracts, Drilling Contracts, Supply Contracts negotiation and complex dispute litigation) and Financial Restructurings for Ship Finance Banks, advising on a very wide range of both contentious and non-contentious issues in these three areas.

Mark focuses on the German, Scandinavian, Cypriot, Greek and South American markets.

Lectures and Publications

Mark lectures at and chairs numerous industry shipping and offshore seminars/conferences and hosts annual Reed Smith Shipping conferences in Germany, Cyprus, Chile and Denmark.
