Mark is a partner in the Shipping Group and co-leads the offshore team.

On the shipping side, he works for owners and charterers, P&I clubs, management companies, brokers and ship finance banks. Mark has extensive experience in complex charterparty, bills of lading/cargo and MOA disputes, be they by way of commercial court, arbitration (London or International) or mediation.

He has established particular experience in the area of off-shore/oil/gas (primarily FPSO Production and Services Contracts, Drilling Contracts, Supply Contracts negotiation and complex dispute litigation relating to same.)

In this regard, the complex litigation team has recently successfully represented a client in a major drilling contract delivery dispute concerning claims of repudiatory breach and misrepresentation and in the biggest FPSO dispute to date concerning responsibility for an FPSO loss of station keeping during a storm in the North Sea.

He advises on financial restructurings for ship finance banks, advising on a very wide range of both contentious and non-contentious issues.

Mark focuses on the German, Scandinavian, Cypriot, Greek and South American markets.
