Michael is a member of the Global Regulatory Enforcement Group in the Washington, D.C., office. His practice focuses on assisting domestic and international companies with issues related to compliance with and enforcement of U.S. export controls, economic sanctions, and related issues, such as money laundering, investment in the U.S., and imports. With his clients, Michael has conducted internal investigations, compliance assessments, due diligence, developed industry specific compliance systems, prepared voluntary disclosures and has worked to resolve both administrative and criminal enforcement actions initiated under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations ("ITAR"), and the Export Administration Regulations ("EAR") as well actions by the Office of Foreign Assets Control ("OFAC").
