Indeg’s practice extends to all aspects of commercial real estate and she has particular experience in dealing with development and investment related work and complex acquisitions and disposals with particular emphasis on property related work in the leisure sector.
 
Indeg is leading Reed Smith’s EME Environmental Law Group, specialising in all aspects of environmental law matters ranging from advising on brownfield sites, contaminated land issues, industrial site-related statutory compliance issues to issues relating to water and drainage rights. In addition, she advises on environmental compliance issues arising on acquisitions and disposals of property interests, companies and/or their assets. Indeg is also working with the Group to alert clients and contacts to the impact of climate change legislation.
 
Indeg is well versed on the WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment), RoHS (Registration of Hazardous Substances) and REACH (Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals) regulations and directives.

Representative Matters

  • Acting for GMV Twelve Limited in connection with a proposed redevelopment of the 35 acre site at Kirkstall, Leeds for residential, office, hotel and leisure uses

  • Acting for Parkview International in relation to funding and leasing of the 38 acre Battersea Power Station Site involving leisure, retail, entertainment, hotels, offices, theatre and residential elements for circa £400m

  • Acting for a local authority in connection with variations to the remediation steps previously agreed with a developer relating to a proposed redevelopment of a 60 acre site in Northern England

  • Acting for a US subsidiary of a large US corporation in connection with its acquisition of a UK manufacturing business

  • Acting for a UK development company in connection with its disposal of contaminated land for £25m
