Clare deals with a broad range of property transactions and her areas of specialisation include the property aspects of corporate mergers, acquisitions and disposals. Several of Clare’s recent transactions have involved acting for clients in the hospitality and leisure industries and these have included hotel management agreements, portfolio disposals and time-share projects.
Clare is qualified as a lawyer in England and Wales and has also worked in Bermuda.
Representative Matters
Represented the Compass Group on the disposal of the Forte Hotels portfolio (including the Heritage and Meridien brands) for £3.1 billion
Advised the Compass Group on the £712 million auction sale of its Travelodge and Little Chef businesses
Advised Whitehall Real Estate and Queens Moat Houses on the sale of nine Queens Moat House hotels to a single investor
Represented Rentokil Initial on the sale of its Initial Style conference centre business to The Alternative Hotel Group for £325 million
