Paul W. Pitts
Paul is a member of the Life Sciences Health Industry Group, practicing in the area of health care regulatory law. Paul’s practice focuses on advising hospitals, radiology and diagnostic imaging facilities, physician groups and other health care providers on fraud and abuse laws, reimbursement and coverage issues and participation in Medicare and Medicaid.
Paul has assisted health care providers and suppliers with state licensure and Medicare participation issues, including the regulations governing long-term acute care hospitals, inpatient rehabilitation facilities and psychiatric hospitals. He has also advised non-profit hospitals and clinics on tax-exemption issues raised in joint ventures with for-profit partners. Paul is experienced in negotiating and drafting agreements for newly formed and restructured providers, including operating and management agreements, private offering documents and asset purchase agreements.
