Carl is Deputy Practice Group Leader of the Intellectual Property Group in the firm’s Philadelphia office. Carl’s practice focuses on the acquisition and protection of intellectual property for small to large clients. He further provides counsel on Internet issues, including domain name, metatag, and adword issues, and is also involved in intellectual property litigation.
Carl’s practice includes the preparation and prosecution of patent applications in mechanical, medical devices, software, and business method technologies. His practice also includes advising clients on trademark issues, such as the preparation and prosecution of trademark applications. Additionally, Carl manages intellectual property portfolios for mid-size and large clients, including portfolios of up to 1500 properties.
He has represented clients in litigation involving trademark, domain name, and patent infringement cases, and opposition and cancellation proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
