Stacy is an associate in the Advertising Technology & Media Group. She concentrates her practice in e-commerce, advertising and technology law. Stacy advises clients on social media guidelines, branding, trademark and copyright-related issues, celebrity endorsement and talent agreements, software licensing and development, sweepstakes and promotions, mobile marketing and telemarketing. She has counseled clients in a wide variety of services available through the Internet and mobile platforms, including issues related to social media, user-generated content and premium SMS promotions. Her clients include advertisers, advertising agencies, financial institutions and website owners. Stacy also assists in the representation of high-end designers and drafts commercial design agreements for various projects, including hotels, restaurants and fitness facilities.

Stacy is a member of the Social and Digital Media Task Force.  She co-authored the Advertising & Marketing chapter of the Social Media White Paper entitled "A Legal Guide to the Commercial Risks and Rewards of the Social Media Phenomenon" and was a co-editor for the entire piece.

Prior to joining Reed Smith, Stacy assisted in the defense of FTC, State Attorneys General and class action consumer protection actions involving deceptive trade practices, CAN-SPAM, state spam laws and federal telemarketing rules, such as the 900 Number Rule, TDDRA and the TCPA.

  • Assisted in the representation of a famous designer in the design of a restaurant for a large casino in Atlantic City.

  • Assisted in the representation of a nationally recognized clothing brand in a sponsorship deal for a mountain climbing event involving a well-known professional climber.

  • Assisted in the representation of a renowned designer in the design of a luxury boutique hotel in New York City for one of the premier luxury hotel groups in the United States.
