Tyree is a trial lawyer focusing on complex class action litigation involving commercial, employment and civil rights claims. He has obtained favorable jury and bench trial verdicts in matters alleging misappropriation of trade secrets, unfair competition, discriminatory business practices, and wage and hour violations. A member of Reed Smith's Records Management and E-Discovery Team, Tyree has written and lectured extensively on electronic information management and compliance with the new Federal Rules of Civil Procedure governing the discovery of electronically stored information. With more than twenty years of litigation experience in California, he now is resident in Reed Smith's Washington, D.C. office, where he maintains a thriving national litigation practice and provides daily advice and counsel to clients on issues ranging from executive transitions in mergers and acquisitions; protection of proprietary information; employee classification; personnel policies; employment background screening and workplace violence initiatives.
Representative clients include financial institutions such as Wells Fargo Bank N.A. and Washtenaw Mortgage Corporation; pharmaceutical distribution companies such as McKesson Corporation and Amersham Pharmacia Biotech; and real estate development and management companies such as The John Stewart Company and Madison Park Real Estate Investment Trust.
