Peter D. Raymond
Peter specializes in intellectual property and commercial litigation. He has tried bench and jury cases and argued appeals in the state and federal courts in New York and has appeared in court and in administrative tribunals throughout the country. In particular, Peter represents clients in disputes involving false advertising, unfair competition, copyright and trademark infringement, trademark dilution, product disparagement, and invasion of rights of privacy and publicity. Peter has also lectured and acted as an expert witness in intellectual property and comparative advertising matters, and many of his cases have been reported in the press.

Prosecution of an action for a national publishing company for copyright and trademark infringement based on the improper use of the company's name and copyrighted material on the defendant's website.
Prosecution of an action for a hip-hop star against a fast-food company for trademark infringement and breach of his right of privacy based on the defendant's use of the star's name in advertising without his permission.
Representation of a national tax preparation company in an action commenced by the New York City Department of Consumer Affairs alleging that certain of the company’s advertising and marketing practices were deceptive and in violation of New York law
Defense of several companies which were investigated by state Attorneys General for alleged violations of the state’s consumer protection and other laws.
