Remy practices in labor and employment, including trial and appellate work before State and Federal Courts and administrative bodies. He provides representation to private sector clients involving primarily wrongful termination, discrimination, sexual harassment, civil rights, employment torts and wage and hour matters. He also regularly defends clients in high stakes class actions.

Representative Matters
Barrueta v. Ralphs Grocery Company - Defended class action when guards placed at Ralphs stores by an independent security firm during a grocery store strike allege they were misclassified as independent contractors, and that Ralphs was liable under a joint employment theory
Dunn v. Ralphs Grocery Company - Defended class action alleging denial of meal and rest breaks under California law, and propriety of class action waiver provision in arbitration agreement
McLeod v. Ralphs Grocery Company - Defended class action alleging misclassification of store directors and operation managers as exempt employees. The case also challenges Ralphs' use of a class action waiver provision in its arbitration agreements
Swanson v. Ralphs Grocery Company - Defended class action alleging improper deductions taken in formula used to calculate employee bonuses
Cychner v. Ralphs Grocery Company and Food 4 Less - Successfully defended class action alleging discrimination and retaliation brought by employees who did not opt out of a previous class action that resulted in a settlement with Ralphs, but who allegedly did not receive as much compensation as those employees who opted out and who then settled separately with Ralphs
