Lucy is a partner in the Financial Industry Group specialising in acquisition finance, leveraged finance and corporate banking.  Lucy has represented numerous financial institutions, corporates and private equity sponsors in a wide range of leveraged finance and cross-border acquisitions, syndicated lending transactions and restructurings. She has extensive experience of a wide variety of financing techniques including, amongst others, senior, mezzanine, second lien, PIK and bridge loan facilities.

Representative Matters

  • Advising The Co-operative Group Limited in connection with the financing of its £1.6 billion acquisition of Somerfield Stores Limited

  • Advising HSBC Bank plc in connection with a £60 million senior secured term loan provided to Stow Real Estate Limited

  • Advising Bridgepoint Capital Limited in connection with a £105 million senior secured term loan and revolving facility agreement and £7.5 million secured mezzanine facility agreement entered into in connection with its acquisition of Leeds Bradford International Airport

  • Acting for the 3i Group plc in connection with the £505 million senior, second lien and PIK facilities entered into in connection with the public and private acquisition of Enterprise plc

  • Advising Barclays Leveraged Finance in connection with a €101 million senior secured term loan and revolving facility agreement and €11 million mezzanine facility agreement
