Ruth is a senior associate in the Employment Group and carries out a broad range of employment work. She currently assists clients with matters involving contracts of employment and company handbooks as well as redundancies, unfair dismissals and compromise agreements. In addition to client work, Ruth writes client alerts on employment law developments and is responsible for the collection and co-ordination of the Group’s know-how, training programme, client seminars and precedents. Additionally, Ruth assists in marketing activities of the Group including placing and writing articles for publication, both in internal newsletters and for external legal journals.
Ruth was previously with another City law firm as an associate. She qualified in 1987 as a corporate and commercial solicitor and began to specialise in employment law in 1991. She has experience in both contentious and non-contentious employment law with particular expertise in termination of employment, restraint of trade, employment aspects of acquisitions (including TUPE) and redundancy. She has also been involved in various significant acquisitions.
