Joan is a seasoned product liability and general commercial litigator and has handled a wide variety of matters in the trial and appellate courts involving business torts, contract disputes, loan defaults, intellectual property, commercial leasing, eminent domain, and land use, among others. Her experience in product liability and tort claims has involved the defense of automobile and equipment manufacturers, firearms and ammunitions manufacturers, pharmaceutical manufacturers and health care providers. She also has substantial experience in construction and surety law, providing advice on contract documentation and litigating construction disputes. She has represented sureties, owners, construction managers, contractors, subcontractors, and disappointed bidders.
