John represents and counsels employers in all aspects of labor and employment law, servicing clients in the technology, retail, health care, and higher education sectors. He has litigated claims for workplace discrimination, wrongful termination, retaliation, breach of contract, and wage and hour violations, in both single plaintiff, complex multi-party, or class action matters. His practice also emphasizes trade secret protection or prosecution. In addition to litigation, John has presented anti-harassment, diversity, and performance management trainings.
Prior to joining Reed Smith, John worked for national firms in their litigation and labor and employment departments. Before entering law school, he served as the founding Admissions Director for the Preuss School at the University of California San Diego, a college-preparatory charter school for low income students.
