Reed Smith's Environmental Group brings a national scope to Brownfields redevelopment projects. We regularly advise clients on the cleanup of Brownfield sites using state voluntary cleanup programs, and have assembled a database of available grant and loan applications for Brownfields development.
Additionally, we have conducted or reviewed environmental due diligence materials and have counseled a major real estate investment trust ("REIT") on environmental issues involving property acquisitions in virtually all of the 50 states, as well as in Canada and Europe. Our U.S. environmental attorneys have also coordinated the environmental due diligence review for the acquisition of industrial operations in the Netherlands, Germany, Japan, China and the United States.
