Courtney focuses her practice on mergers and acquisitions and general corporate, transactional and securities counseling. She also has significant experience in the sports arena.

Courtney structures numerous public and private company acquisitions and dispositions in various industries, leading large and diverse deal teams and resolving complex issues in numerous areas of the law. Many of the transactions Courtney handles include buyers and targets with international operations which require significant management of cross-border deal teams and an appreciation of foreign legal issues.

In addition to her primary transactional practice, Courtney represents investor groups in the acquisition of major and minor league sports franchises, counsels minor and major league teams in their day-to-day corporate operations, and provides regular legal advice to the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Mario Lemieux Foundation.
