This aim of this seminar is to guide the audience through the signals given to industry by the recent Paris Agreement on Climate Change adopted at the latest meeting of the parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP21). The seminar will be of interest not just to legal counsel but also to senior officers of organisations and their policy advisors.

The impact of the Paris Agreement is likely to be extremely wide
ranging and enduring. It is expected to be signed by 196 countries, including China, the United States, India, Brazil and the European Union and applies to not only to energy intensive industries but will have an impact across almost all sectors of the economy and in almost every country in the world.

During the course of the session, your presenters will seek to demonstrate that breadth in the context of key sectors such as energy, finance and real estate and some of the key countries (e.g. the EU, China, India) and to identify what implications and opportunities may follow for businesses within sectors.
