Reed Smith’s Zalika Pierre was honored as Member of the Year by the Metropolitan Black Bar Association. The award was presented at MBBA’s 32nd Anniversary Gala in New York City. The Member of the Year award recognizes an outstanding individual who has demonstrated (1) exemplary leadership and service in the bar; (2) commitment to the community at large.  The purpose of the Metropolitan Black Bar Association, a unified city-wide association of African-American and other minority lawyers, is to advance equality and excellence in the pursuit of justice, aid the progress of Blacks and other minorities in the profession, address legal issues affecting the city-wide community, and foster the study of law by encouraging the personal and professional development of young lawyers and law students.
