Reed Smith has met the WILEF Gold Standard 11 times in the United States, since the awards were inaugurated in 2011, and four times in the UK since the award’s inception there in 2019. The annual award is considered the preeminent honor for recognizing law firms for integrating women into their highest leadership positions.

“Reed Smith is committed to being an industry leader in developing and promoting our exceptional talent within the firm. This recognition from WILEF is an objective measure of our achievement in this critical area and we are proud to be one of only four firms that achieved the highest standards on both sides of the Atlantic this year,” said Cristina Shea, partner and global chair of WINRS, Reed Smith’s Women’s Initiative.

Casey Ryan, partner and global head of legal personnel, commented: “Reed Smith fosters a culture of opportunity for our talented women lawyers. We have implemented a broad suite of programs and benefits designed to attract, advance and support women throughout their career, helping them to achieve their highest potential.”

WILEF grants Gold Standard status to leading firms that meet objective criteria concerning the number of women among equity partners, in firm leadership positions, and in the ranks of the most highly compensated partners.
