Publisher of legal directories Super Lawyers on March 20 featured three Reed Smith lawyers on its Texas Rising Stars list, one of whom was also featured in the publisher’s women’s edition.

Texas Rising Stars 2023 recognized three young litigators at Reed Smith who in addition to stellar capabilities in trials and disputes, fully understand the industry-specific regulatory and compliance requirements that their clients must meet.

  • Clark Donat, a partner based in Dallas, won inclusion for “Business litigation.” Donat is trial lawyer who counsels both plaintiffs and defendants in complex commercial litigation in suits involving technology, banking and lending, financial services, real estate, health care, construction, oil and gas, insurance, and many other industries.
  • Roswill Mejia, an associate working out of the firm’s Austin office, was featured for “Health care, Business litigation, Real estate.” Mejia represents hospital systems, device makers, drug companies, and health care providers in complex litigation, dispute resolution, risk management, and external investigations stemming from regulatory and compliance issues.
  • E. Steven Smith, an associate based in Dallas, earned a spotlight for “Business litigation.” Smith represents individuals and business organizations in complex commercial litigation and has done so in numerous venues at both state and federal levels.

Mejia was also featured in the Texas Women’s Edition as a Rising Star lawyer for her work in Health Care. The Texas Women’s Edition features the top legal talent practicing in Texas. To be selected as a Rising Star, lawyers must either be 40 years old or younger, or in practice for 10 years or fewer.
