Mark is an associate in Reed Smith’s Labor & Employment Group. Mark’s practice focuses on defending privately and publicly held for-profit companies and nonprofit organizations in employment and commercial disputes in state and federal courts, and administrative proceedings. Mark also works closely with in-house counsel and company management regarding day-to-day compliance and best practices.
He has significant experience in representing a Fortune 50 telecommunications company and a national bank, working closely with the clients' various departments to efficiently defend them against all types of employment claims.
Mark’s employment representation experience includes defending employers against individual claims and class actions, in federal and state courts and in administrative agency proceedings, involving employment discrimination, wage and hour disputes, and wrongful discharge. Mark also has experience defending employers against unfair labor practice charges before the NLRB and PLRB, and whistleblower claims under SOX.
Mark’s experience also includes defending companies against complex commercial litigation claims, such as breach of contract, misappropriation of trade secrets, breach of restrictive covenants, and tortious interference.
In addition, Mark advises clients on compliance with laws affecting the workplace, including the ADEA, Title VII, ADA, FLSA, and state wage and hour laws.
