Marvin supports the Complex Litigation and Financial Industry Groups. Marvin’s practice focuses on financial services litigation. Marvin represents major financial institutions in a variety of matters and at all stages of litigation. He routinely serves as lead counsel on cases involving contract-based claims, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act and related state laws.
Marvin is frequently called upon to analyze risk, develop and implement legal strategies, engage in negotiations, and prepare pleadings and other filings, while adhering to applicable law and client guidelines. Marvin also has particular experience in litigation, including research, writing, drafting and answering discovery. Marvin prioritizes finding cost-effective methods to obtain favorable outcomes for his clients.
Prior to joining Reed Smith, Marvin worked as a prosecutor in the Norfolk, Virginia Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office. There, Marvin successfully prosecuted matters involving economic and white collar crimes, such as credit card theft, credit card fraud, embezzlement and bribery.
