“Best Law Firms for Women” celebrates US firms with 50 or more lawyers that have robust women’s initiatives and other programs that mentor, sponsor and promote women, as well as successful diversity and inclusion initiatives. The Best Law Firms for Women award followed in the wake of Working Mother’s groundbreaking “100 Best Companies” recognition program launched in 1986, which still sets the standard for family-friendly workplaces across the country.

“Reed Smith has been on the leading edge of the movement to support and advance women in the legal profession for many years,” said Cristina Shea, Global Chair of the Women’s Initiative at Reed Smith (WINRS). “We are honored Working Mother has once more recognized our efforts and the outstanding successes we have achieved by including us among the nation’s ‘Best Law Firms for Women’ in 2020 and inducting our firm into its Hall of Fame. Our firm is fully committed to continuing the important work to sustain women’s advancement across our global platform.”

Reed Smith’s 2020 “Best Law Firms for Women” nomination touted the firm’s proactive efforts to increase the promotion of its women lawyers to the partnership and other leadership positions across its platform; its launch and expansion of global programming that readies women practitioners for leadership roles in litigation and arbitration settings, and deal-making and other high-profile professional roles; as well as its growing suite of innovative policies and practices expanding and extending workplace supports and workplace health, mental health and wellness programming.
