Dalar joined Reed Smith in 2017 and is a mid-level associate in the financial industry group. She represents corporate clients in multiple financial industry sectors, including banks, lenders, creditors, loan servicers, and other consumer finance and retail companies in complex commercial disputes from purported common law and statutory claims.
Dalar’s practice ranges from individual to class action defense in both state and federal courts throughout the state of California. She manages lawsuits from start to finish, from strategy formulation and execution to trial preparation and participation. Dalar’s strengths include researching and interpreting applicable laws, regulations, and other guidelines governing the financial industry to assess and implement successful litigation strategies. Aside from conventional litigation, Dalar is adept at representing clients in alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, including mediations, arbitrations, and informal settlement negotiations. She has settled hundreds of cases for her clients, most of which are notable Fortune 500 corporations.
Primarily raised in Los Angeles, Dalar was born in Iran, moved to the United States at the age of seven, and is of Armenian descent. While completing her undergraduate degree magna cum laude at the University of California, Irvine, she spent a semester interning for CNN in Washington, D.C. and studied abroad in Madrid, Spain.
