Christophe mainly focuses on patent, trademark, copyright (art, games & software) data and trade secret, and has honed particular expertise in IP-related Customs enforcement and Defence department matters. He assists his clients by setting out IP strategies, drafting and negotiating IP contracts (e.g. NDA, tech transfer agreements, self/funded R&D, IT contracts, image rights…) and in the frame of complex procedures before the French Courts, arbitral tribunals and the French and European IP Offices, in relation to infringement, validity, unfair competition and prosecution issues.
Christophe spans a wide number of sectors, such as telecoms & digital, aerospace & defence, design & art dealing, luxury & fashion, life sciences and food, and has an in-depth insight of the entertainment and music industry, notably given his side practice as a composer.
Prior to joining Reed Smith, Christophe secured a position as an in-house legal counsel within a multinational group in the aerospace industry in Toulouse (France) and as an associate with Bird&Bird law firm in Paris (France), in the field of IP/IT law.
In addition, Christophe regularly dedicates himself to legal publications and, since 2017, has been teaching IP law and practice in English in the “Industrial Property” Master’s degree at University of Paris II Panthéon-Assas directed by Pr. Jean-Christophe Galloux.
