Martine focuses on health care regulatory and corporate transactional matters, counseling clients on how to navigate the complexities of fraud and abuse laws, payment and coverage rules, and Medicare and Medicaid program participation. Martine is adept at advising clients on business and regulatory considerations in transactions and contractual arrangements within the life sciences and health care sectors. Her experience involves conducting due diligence, and managing change of ownership issues, regulatory approvals, and ensuring compliance with consistently evolving regulatory standards.
During Martine’s time as a Summer Associate at Reed Smith, she honed her writing and research skills by drafting memos and briefs while also engaging in various Mergers & Acquisitions and Mediations simulations. Additionally, Martine participated in a client experiential program, gaining in-house experience with a leading biotechnology company.
As a Legal Extern at the Georgia Advocacy Office while in law school, Martine researched and drafted proposed legislation for the Medicaid Buy-In Program. In this role, she enhanced her writing and research skills by drafting memos and contributing to the development of advocacy materials.
Aside from her role as an attorney in health law, Martine is the Founder and Director of the Ambition Overcomes Adversities Campaign in Philadelphia, PA. Since 2017, Martine has created and conducted strategic workshops for students covering topics such as goal setting, college preparation, and mental health. Through this initiative, she has generated scholarship funds, providing book scholarships to students throughout the city.
