Douglas is an associate in the Pittsburgh office and a member of the insurance recovery group. Doug’s practice focuses on representing corporate policyholders in disputes with their insurers, including in cases arising out of product and environmental liabilities. He has litigated insurance coverage matters in state and federal courts as well as in international arbitrations
In addition to his insurance coverage work, Douglas has significant experience representing clients in a variety of complex commercial matters, such as disputes involving health care, contractual breaches, Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act claims, intellectual property, and aviation. He has briefed cases before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, the South Carolina Supreme Court, the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court and Superior Court, and various state and federal trial courts across the country, as well as before the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).
