Claire is a senior associate who advises on a wide range of dry shipping matters, acting for P&I Clubs, owners and charterers, advising on charterparty and bill of lading disputes, MOAs and ship management agreements. She has experience with both High Court and arbitration claims (LMAA and LCIA).
Claire was previously seconded to a major oil and gas trading company for one year, providing legal support to the freight/trading team on day to day matters, handling ongoing litigation, and negotiating various commercial contracts. In addition, she assisted with the build-out of a power trading business across Europe. This included regulatory advisory work and project management, as well as negotiation of EFETs and similar documentation.
As a trainee Claire spent six months in Reed Smith’s Dubai office working on high value international arbitrations.
