Leif is a partner in the Entertainment and Media Industry Group, and heads the firm’s television and digital video practice worldwide. He is a small-screen expert who helps his clients build television studios and develop content strategies from start-up and acquisition through capitalization and monetization. Leif is a commercially-driven lawyer adept at balancing the needs of protecting companies legally and closing thoughtful deals expeditiously. So, Leif is an entertainment “insider” who understands the many sides of deals and the inner workings of media companies. His wide array of clients includes media conglomerates, major television networks and video on demand exhibitors, feature film and TV studios, well-leveraged production companies, advertisers, equity funds and high-net worth individuals. Leif expertly provides his clients with superlative counseling which includes business and legal advice, financial structuring, operations, risk management, using his industry relationships as a connector, and global marketplace strategy.

Leif also has a renowned track record for leading media teams on mergers and acquisitions and other high-level corporate transactions; handling entertainment-related investment agreements and joint ventures; negotiating successful U.S. and overseas television and VOD license, co-production, co-financing, and distribution agreements; and spearheading new media exploitation plans and deals for his clients’ films and programming.
