Germaine is a senior associate with particular experience in high value, cross-jurisdictional, international arbitration cases in the Asia Pacific region.
She is highly familiar with the major rules of arbitration, including those established by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), and the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC), and the rules of procedure in the Singapore courts. She is experienced in disputes arising out of foreign and intraregional investments in Asia, particularly in matters concerning energy (oil and gas, power and renewables), infrastructure and projects, telecoms, construction and engineering, joint ventures, and shareholders, as well as other commercial disputes.
Germaine engages in a diverse range of arbitration and commercial litigation matters, particularly in the areas of corporate, insolvency, energy and infrastructure, and property law. She advises clients in disputes arising in various jurisdictions including Singapore, Mauritius, and London. Germaine has a strong background in advising on complex issues of law such as when the performance of a contract is affected by the municipal law governing the parties to that contract.
