Janine handles a wide variety of contentious and non-contentious shipping matters, with particular focus on “dry” shipping disputes. She works with ship owners, charterers, ship managers, shipbuilders and repairers, cargo owners, and marine insurers. Janine has extensive experience in arbitration, High Court litigation and other dispute resolution mechanisms such as mediation. She regularly advises on current issues affecting shipping clients and drafts bespoke contracts and contractual terms.

Pro Bono

Janine undertakes a variety of pro bono work. She provides advice to prisoners through the Prisoners’ Advice Service and recently worked on a project relating to female genital mutilation (FGM). She has undertaken training with Amicus and assisted with appeals for prisoners on death row in the US. Janine is also on the committee of the firm’s LGBT group, PRISM.
